Seagram’s New York Hotel: The New York spirit is reinvented at the 1898 Hotel
If there's a drink that truly embodies the 'New York way of life', it's undoubtedly Seagram's Gin. And if there's a place where you can immerse yourself in that authentic lifestyle without having to cross the pond, it's the Hotel 1898, which once again schedules a month of classic, timeless, and genuine experiences and content straight from the city of skyscrapers. Following the excellent reception of the previous edition, the Seagram’s New York Hotel reinvents itself with an equally premium, elegant, and sophisticated style, but with brand-new experiences in Barcelona that will make it an irresistible space to enjoy the essence of the Big Apple with cocktails, pastries, and entertaining shows without leaving the city. However, this experience is ephemeral, as it will take place from June 14th to July 14th.
The first space we can enjoy as soon as we enter the Hotel is Magnolia Bakery, the well-known bakery where you can taste the famous cupcakes from Sex and the City and feel like the protagonists of this memorable comedy, enjoying a delicious Carrie Cake, the favorite cake of the character played by Sarah Jessica Parker. Now, this famous spot opens in a pop-up format in our hotel, where the bakery has been recreated and where the New York bakers from Magnolia Bakery will prepare exquisite cupcakes every day along with other desserts such as banana pudding, or their delicious brownies. Magnolia Bakery will be open Monday to Sunday with continuous hours from 11 am to 8 pm, with tables to enjoy every detail of its decoration, or take away, in case you want to eat it on your way to work.
For those to whom New York means afterwork, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7 PM to 1 AM, Hotel 1898 offers the best cocktails and live music imported from Dear Irving, one of the most iconic venues of the Big Apple. At the helm will be Meaghan Dorman, “Bar Director” and one of the most esteemed bartenders in the industry, as she was named Bartender of the Year 2016 by IMBIBE magazine. And since music is everything in these kinds of venues, and in NY the vibe is different, every night there will be a New York DJ spinning all kinds of styles, in a frenetic back and forth of hits ranging from Frankie goes to Hollywood to Rihanna, through Blur or Marsh Mellows. Nothing in Barcelona will sound the same.
The most rogue experience will arrive on the weekend like the Bingo Brunch, a show inspired by the “This is not a Standard Bingo” from the Standard Hotel in New York. Every Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 5 pm we organize the most entertaining Brunch in town, with three courses crafted from the coolest recipes of New York, plus bingo, DJ, drag queen, and surprises included between each call, turning the game into an interactive show with the audience, where fun is guaranteed. And all of this, accompanied by delicious cocktails from Dear Irving and the best live music. This activity requires prior reservation and ticket purchase through the website.
