Following the success of the #SeagramsNYHotel at #TheCornerHotelBCN, the spirit of the Big Apple lives on just around the corner. And it does so with a series of experiences that make the lobby of The Corner a cool and relaxed place, ideal for enjoying a live jazz session, a sonic journey through Funk, Jazz, Soul, or 70s disco music; or the Mediterranean twist on a quintessentially Anglo-Saxon phenomenon like brunch, a meal that takes place between breakfast and lunchtime and is perfect for gathering strength before a day of sightseeing in the city or a busy day of business and meetings.
Following the collaboration with Seagram’s New York, The Corner Hotel has redefined the concept of brunch, adapting the New York model to Mediterranean cuisine. The experience can be enjoyed every Saturday and Sunday, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (prior reservation is essential), so you can take advantage of the weekend to go at your own pace.
And what can you order at Brunch Around The Corner? In addition to tasting an authentic Burger, the menu offers various alternatives to start whetting your appetite: burrata salad with pesto and balsamic vinegar, Benedict eggs with Iberian ham strips, or salmon blinis with caramelized cheese. As a main course, 200 grams of beef burger with cheddar and scrambled eggs, or you can opt for a veggie version in the form of a tofu and spinach burger with caramelized onion. The dessert is in harmony with the rest of the menu: homemade cheesecake or a bouquet of fruit sweetened with chocolate accompanied by a glass of Anna de Codorniu cava to toast to an authentic brunch.
Although the experience goes beyond the culinary offer, as it starts with the location of the space: a spacious and welcoming hall where you can share comfortable sofas with other guests or enjoy an exclusive table for two. Everything is situated in a warm Lounge that even has a fireplace. Another detail that will make the evening unforgettable is the staff, who become accomplices to each diner. They will help you choose the best area of the hall and are attentive at all times to your needs. This closeness allows for the menu to be adapted to your taste, choosing or removing an ingredient due to an allergy or simply your preferences; or you can opt for one of the fantastic cocktails from the menu to accompany your brunch. Here you won't find standard coffees with milk or grapefruit juice to start, this is a Mediterranean-style brunch. But of course, you can request them!
In that vein, dessert doesn't have to be the end of the evening. In addition to the brunch menu, The Corner Hotel offers a selection of cocktails designed to pair perfectly with your meal or to enjoy comfortably while watching the daily life of the Eixample through the hall's large windows. If you visit us on a Sunday, the brunch is accompanied by a soul singer, who performs live covers of the genre's classics, adding a more trendy touch to the experience.
Even though our brunch schedule ends at 4:00 PM, we are in the heart of Barcelona and you can extend your after-meal conversation as long as you like. The Corner Hotel never closes. There's a lot of life just around the corner!
